He died when I was seven, but I do remember him and his stories of being in Japan. He loved his nephews and nieces.
I inherited his flag and Navy documents when my Mom passed away. They are well taken care of. He was in the Navy from 1954-1962 with an Honorable Discharge because of health reasons. He loved the Navy and wanted to stay, but his health wouldn't allow it. I'm proud of him.
