Gustave H. Brinkmeyer and Miss Alice C. Rohlfing were married on Thanksgiving day, November 27, 1919 at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Rohlfing of Etlah. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Otto Buess, pastor of the Berger M. E. Church in the presence of only the ner relatives of the bride and groom. The bride's sister, Miss Amelia Rohlfing, acted as bridesmaid and George Hartmann of Leslie was groomsman. After the ceremony a splendid wedding dinner was served by Mrs. Rohlfing.

The groom is an industrious young man, and has been employed in J. P. Altheides's store for the past six years, where he has gained a wide acquaintance and many friends. The bride, who formerly stayed in New Haven is a young lady of excellent qualifications and accomplishments.

The young folks have gone to housekeeping in New Haven. They have the best wishes of a host of friends for happiness and success in their journey through life.

(from newspaper account of Alice's death)

In loving remembrance of our dear sister and aunt, Alice C. Brinkmeyer, who departed this life one year ago on May 27th 1958.

Time speeds on, on year has passed,
Since death it's gloom, it's shadows cast,
The awful shock we received that day,
When you so swiftly passed away,
You bade no one a last farewell,
You said good-bye to none,
Your loving heart had ceased to beat,
And before we knew it you were gone,
So unexpected and so sad,
When one we loved was called away,
God took her home it was his will,
Within our hearts she liveth still,
The years may wipe out many things,
But this they wipe our never,
The memories of those happy days,
When we were all together.

Sadly missed by brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
