He attended Rogers School in Stamford through ninth grade then went on to study Industrial Chemistry at J M Wright Technical School in Stamford. He played soccer, worked on the year book and was known as "Mr. Personality". During high school, he was introduced to barbershop quartet harmonizing by his father and they sang together in his first quartet, "The Tide Flat Four." During the summers he worked as a life guard at the local beach on Long Island Sound and then as a camp counselor at a church camp in the Catskill Mountains. He attended Norwalk Community College, majoring in Business Administration. He was very active in the Nu Lambda Chi fraternity at college and he became the host and emcee for every event, convocation and gathering. He earned his degree in Business Administration from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
He served in the US Army from 1968 – 1971, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he moved to Fairfax County in Northern VA. He was involved in local theater as an actor and guest artist for over 35 years. Some of his major roles included Harold Hill in The Music Man and Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady. He was employed by Acoustical Interiors of Alexandria, Virginia as a consultant.
He is survived by a sister; a niece; a nephew; two grand-nieces; and a grand-nephew. Interment with full military honors on Friday, March 6, 2015.
