Elizabeth is buried in the lot next to her husband Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Brown and has her brother-in-law Dr. James J. Brown on the other side of her. No stones. She lived for 40 years after her husbands death, nearly all of it in her adopted daughter's household.

Mrs. Elizabeth R. Brown
Mrs. Elizabeth R. Brown, widow of Benjamin Franklin Brown who died here in 1875, passed away in Chicago on Wednesday at the age of 86 years. Vickie Brown Bellows, niece and foster daughter of the deceased, will accompany the remains to Madison,where burial will be made at Forest Hill at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. A brief ceremony wll be held at the grave, the Rev. Hogarth officiating. Mrs. Bellows and the family will be with a niece of the deceased, Mrs Cordelia Orton Jones, 11 E. Gorham St. Mrs Brown will be remembered by many as one of the pioneer residents of Syene and Madison. She was a sister of Mrs. Dr. J.J. Brown. Dr. Brown practiced medicine for years in Madison. The presence at the grave of any friends of the deceased and family will be appreciated at this time. Gill Bros. Undertakers, old friends of family will be in charge.
