PHILO WILCOX, PIONEER, LAID TO REST TUESDAY
Philo Wilcox, aged pioneer, who died at his home near Seavey's ferry August 9, was laid to rest on Tuesday morning following funeral services at 10 o'clock in the Walker chapel. Rev. Thomas D. Yarnes officiated. Interment was in the Mulkey cemetery near Eugene.
Mr. Wilcox was at the time of his death, 89 years, 9 months and 9 days old. He was a retired farmer. His residence in this vicinity dates back about half a century. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. S.E. McBee of Springfield, and Mrs. T.M. Johnson of Echo, Oregon, and by one brother, John Wilcox of Salem.
