Henry was the grandson of Captain Christian Binckley, who was the first settler of Perry County, Ohio. It is believed that he is the son of Johan Jacob Binckley and Elizabeth Wingard. Jacob Bashore left his estate in his Will to the heirs of Johan Jacob Binckley and Henry is listed as one of the heirs. On May 8, 1828, Henry married Sarah McLaughlin in Perry County. Henry and Sarah had four children: Jonas, George, John, and Sarah Margaret. Henry passed away in 1848 in Richland, Fairfield, Ohio.
