A native of Greenville County, a son of Hattie Henson Barton of Landrum and the late Gary Barton. He was a self-employed painter. Member: Motlow Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors: wife, Brenda Price Barton; daughters, Diane Hawkins and Mary Roddy, both of Landrum; brothers, Louie Tom Baton and Theron Barton, both of Greer, and Mack Barton of Landrum.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Motlow Creek Baptist Church. Burial: Church Cemetery. Visitation: After the service at the church.
