Asa Hewen Sr. Parents are unknown at this time. I have not been able to go any further with the Hewen name. It is known from multiple census records that he was born in Connecticut.
Asa Hewen was 24 years, 10 months old when he married a 19 years, 2 months, and 6 days old Rachael Sturdevant on 08 Jun 1809 in Pennsylvania.
They were the proud parents of 9 children total. 7 children they reared to adulthood. Clarissa Ann Hewen-Lafrance, Asa Hewen Jr., Loring Hewen, Orange Hewen, Selina Hewen (died at age 30), Lorenzo D. Hewen, & Phidelia I. Hewen-Shoemaker.
3 daughters died at a young age Clarissa Hewen the first died at 2 years, 2 months, and 30 days old, & Phidelia Hewen the first died at 1 year and 5 days old. Selina also died young at the age of 30yr she may have been married.
