DANFORTH - Helen L. Fickett Beale, 74, died Jan. 29, 2001, at a Houlton health-care facility. She was born in Danforth, Nov. 5, 1926, the daughter of Emerson and Lydia (Day) Bartlett. Helen was a lifelong member of the Danforth Baptist Church, taking a special interest in Vacation Bible School and teaching Sunday School. She loved flowers, birds, and fishing. She is survived by a son, John Fickett and his wife, Carolun of Weston; two daughters, Trudy Johannsen and her husband, Paul of Gilford, Conn. and Jay Gillis and her husband, Fred of Danforth; two stepsons, Marvin Fickett and his wife, Jane of Texas, adn Myron Fickett and his wife, Jan of Florida; four brothers, Richard, John and Winston Bartlett, all of Danforth, and William Bartlett of Oregon, three sisters, Faye Stilphen, Barbara Kinney and Martha Day, all of houlton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Myron Fickett, her second husband, Richard Beale, a daughter, Bonnie Fickett, brothers, Roger, Russell and Eaton bartlett, and a sister, Izetta Larrabee. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Bartlett Funeral Home, Danforth. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Calyton Crocker and the Rev. Peter Frenier officating. Spring interment will be in Danforth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Danforth Baptist Church.
