Services for Elda Rose Quebe Danford, 81, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in College Station.

The Rev. Erich Schaefer of Our Savior's Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan and from 9 a.m. to the time of the services Tuesday at the church.

Mrs. Danford died Friday in St. Joseph Manor.

She was born in Leroy, Texas, and had lived in Bryan for more than 20 years. She was a homemaker and was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Brazos County Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Linda Quebe of Converse, Texas; a daughter, Sheran Lewis of Temple, Texas; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Memorials may be made to Our Savior's Lutheran Church Building Fund or to a charity of choice.

Elda M. Rose was the daughter of Ludwig Rose and Isabel Minnie Kattner. She appears in the 1920 McLennan, Texas census with her widowed mother and 4 siblings: Oscar O., Clara K., Lena Mae, and Roy Robert.

In 1940, her mother, back to her name as Isabelle Rose and as a widow, and her brother, Robert Edens, are in the Milam, Texas census.

Elda rose married John H. Quebe, is widowed by him in 1969, and then she marries Luther B. Danford on 1 July 1973 in Grimes, Texas when she is 54 years old. She is listed as Elda M. Rose, age 54, born 1919. Since she is buried with John Quebe, she must have been widowed and not divorced.
