Arnold was born in Pierre, S.D., and moved to this area in 1949. He owned A&M Painters for 15 years and retired in 1975.
Surviving are his wife, Veotta A. Arnold of the home; a son, Terry Roberts, El Cajon, Calif.; three daughters, Virgilia A. Mullin, Bolivar, Marilynn Lee, Columbia, and Lera J. McDermott, Ladue; and five grandchildren.
The body was cremated with entombment in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.
