OCALA, Fla. — William James "Jim" Nutter, 67, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of New Straitsville, passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at the Munroe Regional Medical Center, Ocala, Fla. after battling heart disease for more than 26 years.
He was born April 6, 1945 in New Lexington, the son of the late James P. and Eva Spicer Nutter.
He was a former operator for Nutter Brother's Coal Company and was a member of the New Straitsville Masonic Lodge #484 F&AM and the Oldtown Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Emilia Nutter of the home; two daughters, April (Micah Clark) Nutter Buckman of Mt. Perry, and Cathy (John) Nutter Smith of New Straitsville; two sons, William James "Bill" Nutter II of New Straitsville and Juan Nutter of Ocala, Fla.; two step-sons, Miguel Jaramillo of Miami, Fla. and Christian Jaramillo of West Palm Beach, Fla; brother, Terry Nutter of New Straitsville; sister, Deanna (Mark) Nutter Grimm of Ironton; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchidren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceeded in death by his brother, Les Nutter.
Funeral services are conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12 at the Oldtown Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Blosser officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, 118 W. Walnut Street, Shawnee, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the church.
Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
