Liudmila Aldatova, 47, of Hutchinson, died Dec. 14, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 28, 1962, in Gorodok, Ukraine, the daughter of Stepan and Galina Budus. She graduated from high school in Gorodok in 1979, with honors, Uzhorod State University where she studied English and French and received her degree in Psychology and Philosophy; she later graduated from Far East State University, Khabarovsk, Russia, with a degree in Psychiatry, all with honors.

She had taught English and served as Principal at public schools in Khabarovsk, Russia, she was later an Interpreter for the Library of Congress, and an International Sales Specialist for Krause Corp., Hutchinson. She had also received several awards for her skills as an interpreter, including the National Award for English Interpretation presented by the Russian Ministry of Education.

In 1985, she married Timur Aldatov, who was serving as an Officer in the Russian Army; she later married Bob Robbins March 1, 2006, in Hutchinson, after meeting him in New Mexico, where she was serving as a facilitator for the Library of Congress. Survivors include: husband Bob, of Hutchinson; son, Allan Aldatov, of Khabarovsk, Russia; daughter, Alina Aldatova, of Khabarovsk, Russia and her fiancé Tom Bartholomew of Hutchinson; brother, Sergey Budus, of Ukraine; sister, Maryna Chechel, of Toronto, Canada; and her mother, Galina, of Gorodok, Ukraine. She was preceded in death by her father.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Church of the Holy Cross with Father Joe Eckberg celebrating. Parish rosary will be at 1 p.m. prior to the Mass. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
