Elizabeth Ann Dye, 79, died Jan. 10, 2009, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

She was born Sept. 24, 1929, in Hutchinson, the daughter of George and Bertha B. Perry Mills.
She attended Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Community College. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, she was a homemaker, machine operator and assembler at Cessna/Eaton. Following her retirement, she spent many hours as a volunteer church secretary.

She belonged to South Hutchinson Christian Church, she was very active in all aspects of church life, serving as an organist, Sunday School teacher, and youth leader. She delighted in opening her farm to many church gatherings, as well as hosted several missionaries over the years.

On Dec. 5, 1960, she married Howard S. Dye in South Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include: three sons, Dennis and Steve, both of Hutchinson, and Gary, Grove, Okla; three daughters, Janet Lance, Okemah, Okla, Linda Stephens, Goodlettsville, Tenn, and Leota Dye, Madison, Wis; a stepdaughter, Bobbie Scott, Kansas City, Mo; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ben Mills.

Funeral will be at 10 am Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at South Hutchinson Christian Church, with Pastors Jeff Arnold and Brian Barrie presiding. Visitation will be Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Memorials may be sent to the church in care of the mortuary.
