John Hampton Boozer
John Hampton Boozer was born in 1866 in Gilbert Hollow, Lexington County, South Carolina to
Lemuel and Liza Boozer.
The family relocated to conway County, Arkansas.
He was united in marriage to Caroline Brockington .
Hamp was run over by a train while walking down the railroad tracks to see his sister in Kenwood, Ar. According to the newspapers , he was thought to have lynched. An inquest was held. His body was cut in half.
He was a janitor at a church in Kenwood.
He was survived by his wife and eight children.
Interment was at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morrilton,
