Kenneth George Just Jr., of Cochecton, a retired truck driver for JML Quarries and Bernas Construction, died Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 72.
The son of the late Kenneth George Just Sr. and Anna Vollmers Just, he was born August 1, 1943 in Callicoon. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Irene Loughrey Just.
George proudly served his country in the Vietnam War in the US Army. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Vietnam Veterans of America #315 Sullivan County Chapter.
He is survived by his children: Jamie Just and his wife Cynthia of Bainbridge, OH, Laurie Just and her companion Stephen Jackson of Cochecton, Theresa Arzilli and her husband Lucas of Callicoon; eight grandchildren: Jami, Alex, Gillian, Lucas, Oscar, Jonah, Lucy and Eli; one brother, Richard Just(Irene); two sisters, Edith Suydam (Ronald) and Betty Mather (Ade); and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Pastor Pam Allen will officiate.
Interment with military honors will be made in the East Cochecton Cemetery, Cochecton.
