Diane Therese Breen died at home with her family after a five-month siege by peritoneal cancer at 9:36 a.m. Tuesday (May 17, 2011).
She was born in Chicago on May 18, 1929 to Conrad and Elmyra Dahl. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Claudia; her parents; a brother, Phillip and five sisters, Loretta, Gloria, Patricia, Constance and Diane.
She married Harry Breen on Aug. 9, 1952 in Chicago. He survives. She is also survived by five children, Claudia, Paul (Christine), Melissa, Lydia (Rhett Wisegarver) and Jessica (Mark Dennis); eight grandchildren, Felicia Breen, Christopher Breen, Kye Breen, Claudia Dennis, Claire Dennis, Gracie Wisegarver, George Wisegarver and Wilson Oakley-Breen and one great-grandchild, Camile Breen.
