Kenmare, ND News

Vivian Schmelling ArnesonMrs. Vivian Arneson passed away at
the local hospital Monday morning, at the age of 22 years, after an illness lasting about three months, death being due to a complication of diseases. She was born at Ortonville, Minn., and came to this part of North Dakota with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christ Schmelling, who settled on a farm southwest of Kenmare, where Vivian grew towomanhood. She was always of a lovable disposition and enjoyed her home where she was always found until about two and a half years ago when she went to Minot and took a course in nurse training at St. Joseph's Hospital. On August 7, 1923, she was united in marriage at Minot, to Clarence Arneson, of this city. Soon after their marriage they settled at Scobey, Mont., where they resided for about three months when Mrs. Arneson was taken ill, and she was brought to her home here that she might receive better medical attention. Her condition did not seem to improve and she was removed to the hospital where she remained until her death. She was loved by everyone who knew her and was of a quiet and happy disposition. Her great many friends join in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved husband, parents, sisters and brothers. Funeral services will be held from the Nazareth Danish Lutheran Church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
