Sherman Hollandsworth Blankenship, 73, of Draper died Monday morning, March 5, 2012, at his home.
He was born in West Virginia April 5, 1938, and was the son of the late James Sherman Blankenship and Josephine Macy H. Farley. He was a retired employee of Volvo, Dublin. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife, Dona Blankenship of Draper; daughter, Macy Shrader of Narrows; sons, James Blankenship of Draper and Alexander Matthew Blankenship of Dublin; sister and brother-in-law, Reba and Wilfred Overton of Draper; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Debbie Farley of Christiansburg; 10 half-brother's and half-sisters, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Wilfred Overton and Danny Powers officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Christian Church Cemetery, Draper.
