Mr. and Mrs. Marion Brown announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Annie, to Mr. James Cottle, the nuptials to be solemnized on the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 20, 1914, at 3 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents at Broughton.

Mrs. Annie B. Cottle, age 84, of Route 1, Roanoke, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1982, at Randolph County Hospital, Roanoke.

Mrs. Cottle is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Romer Calhoun of Roanoke and Mrs. Waymon Waller of Route 1, Roanoke; one son, Bruce Cottle of Atlanta; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. W.V. Windsor; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cottle were conducted Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, the Revs. Glenn Willsey, Joe Rollins and Herman Clark officiating with burial in the cemetery.

Pallbearers were Junior Brown, Wink Brown, Jimmy Jones, Fred Waldrep, Eliot Heard and Calvin Turner.
