Passed away Sunday morning, April 16, 1972. Mrs. Chapman was born July 24, 1889, in Leonidas and was a lifelong resident of this community. She was the widow of Harold Chapman. They were married May 22, 1907, at Vicksburg. Mrs. Chapman is survived by one son, Nathaniel; one grandson, he is still living. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 3'clock at the Langeland Chapel, 622 S. Burdick, Rev. Theo Phillips, of the First Baptist Church of Otsego, Officiating. Internment in West Cooper Cemetery.
Gertrude was a wonderful seamstress, for many years she worked at a shop in Kalamazoo, she was very skilled in altering fur coats.
Gertrude has blue eyes, and blond hair.
