THOMAS RICHARD HAMME,SR., son of the late Daniel Hamme and Effie Miles Hamme was born August 8, 1920 in Wake County, North Carolina. He departed this life May 16, 1976 at his home in Newark, New Jersey after a brief illness.

GOD called the young man to come home to rest from his toils and tribulations of this World. HE had need for THOMAS in HIS Kingdom and claimed this life that was HIS own.

THOMAS joined the Oak Grove Christian Church in Henderson, NC., in his youth and then unto the Vineyard Baptist Church. After moving in the Concord Community he attended the Concord Baptist Church and joined the Concord Baptist Church after the reunion with his wife, Princess Louise Perry Hamme, who was then from that community. He was a member of the Concord Baptist Church and various other churches in New Jersey until his death.

THOMAS always was a hard worker through his youth and as a family man. THOMAS worked hard to take care of his family and up until his death he was still working as a warehouse Shipping and Receiving Forman.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Princess Louise Perry on October 16, 1942 and to this union, eleven children were born, one Sherleen Hamme, preceded his death.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Princess Louise Perry Hamme, 6 daughters, Thelma Hamme, Artelia Hamme, Myra Hamme, Laura Hamme, all of the home. Mrs. Mattie Hamme-Hollins (John) Elizabeth, NJ; Mrs. Effie Hamme-Hargrove (Barry), Newark, NJ; 4 sons, Thomas R. Hamme, Jr., Roanoke Rapids, NC., Emerson K. Hamme, Willie D. Hamme and Kelvin B. Hamme, all of the home; 5 sisters, Mary, Martha, Chistine, Estelle and Marie; two brothers, James and Daniel Hamme; mother-in-law, Mrs. Novella Brooks-Perry; 2 sons-in-law, John Hollins, Elizabeth, NJ and Barry Hargrove, Fort Knox, Kentucky; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lou Helen Hicks-Hamme, Newark, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!! I am still missing you and hope to see you again when we all get to Heaven. This would have been your 94th birthday. But I am wishing you another blessed day in Paradise. RIP 1976 Always love you.
