Ruth Barrett, age 66, of Route 1, Leitchfield, died Saturday August 3, 1984 at the Grayson County Hospital. She was a retired housewife. / She was born on October 15, 1917 in Wayne County, Ky., the daughter of William P. and Mamie Crawford Castle. / Survivors include: her husband, Clyde Russell Barrett; one son, Lewis Barrett of Leitchfield; one daughter, Peggy Austell of Texas; three brothers, Pat of Monticello, Ky.; Perry of Florida and Joe Castle of California; three sisters, Elizabeth Duncan of Monticello, Ky., Helen Davidson and Florence Holtz both of Illinois. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. / Funeral services were Sunday, August 5 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Cary Embry officiating.
