OREGON CITY, Ore. — Lois Ella Grimm Wolford Bronson, 84, of Oregon City, Oregon, formerly of Bancroft and Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2002, in Portland, Oregon. She was born May 17, 1917, at Bancroft, Idaho, the daughter of David W. and Ella Merrick Grimm.
She married Norman B. Wolford July 25, 1935, at Bancroft, Idaho. He passed away July 22, 1988. She married George A. Bronson January 20, 1990. He passed away September 25, 1990.
Lois was raised and educated in the Bancroft, Idaho area, graduating from North Gem High School. She was a licensed vocational nurse and studied at St. Anthony Hospital.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had served in the Relief Society, in the Primary and was a visiting teacher.
Lois was a member of the Senior Citizens visiting program in Lava Hot Springs; she also nursed at the Lava Rest Home and in the community. She had been a 4-H leader. She enjoyed piano playing and participating in programs at the rest home.
She is survived by one son and three daughters and their spouses, David and Anette Wolford, Ogden, Utah, Nona and Ron Collins, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Peggy A. Anderson, Orem, Utah, and Mary and George Nielson, Suisun City, California. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gladys L. Nelson, Bancroft, Idaho. Lois was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, and a brother, William O. Grimm.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 13, 2002, at noon at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs. Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
