Postma, Claire, 90, of Grand Rapids, under the loving care of the Curran family and Hospice went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, March 7, 2005. She was born July 5, 1914 to Renn and Nellie Postma of rural New Era where she grew up along with her four sisters who survive her: Rica Postma and Grace (Len) Brink, Ethel Walhout, Joyce (Gerald) Tuuk; also many nieces, nephews and their families. In 1938 Claire came to live with & assist the Frank and Vivian Curran (now deceased) family. She continued on with the Curran family for the next 66 years, touching the lives of five generations. Survivors of Claire's special family include Thomas & Patrick Curran of Grand Rapids; children, Frank, Mary, Dan, Jane, Tom, Susan & Paul; 15 Curran grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Robert Curran of Grand Rapids; Paul & Therese (Curran) Rowe of Bay City, Mich. and their children, Marjorie, John, Jeanne & William & seven Rowe grandchildren.Interment will be in New Era Cemetery.
