Emily Jane Denson was the daughter of James and Lurinda Denson. The family left Missouri for Texas by 1850. In 1850, the family was living in Van Zandt County, Texas. Emily Jane married James Noble Anderson about 1863 or 1864. Her grave at Staley is missing the stone. A map of the cemetery shows that Emily and James Noble Anderson rest next to each other and with their twin grandchildren.
