Mary E Airey wife of the late Edward C Airey died at the home of her son Mr. Charles K Orem 413 Henry Street last night at 13:30 o'clock death resulting from pneumonia. Mrs Aireys sudden death comes as a surprise to her many friends. Saturday night after returning home from a vist to her grandson a few doors away she contracted a cold which developed into pneumonia. She had been critically ill since Sunday.

She was born at Pocomoke City, August 19,1859 being 76 years 6 months 13 days of age and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Julia Crisp.

Mrs Airey was a practical nurse and was very well known in Cambridge having practiced her profession for forty years or more. During this time she has made many friends.

She possessed a quite and unassuming and pleasing personality and was chartiable to those in need.

Mrs. Airey was a devote christian being a charter member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church of this city. She was regular and punctual in attendance at all church meetings when her health permitted and had taken an active part since its organization in 1902.

She was devote and considerate mother a true friend and neighbor. Her fine christian character devotion to duty and fondness for the finer things in life won for her a host of friends.

She was twice married her first husband Mr John K Orem died in 1896. By this union she is survived by one son and two daughters, Mr Charles K Orem and Mrs John Hurley of Cambridge and Mrs William Matthew of Baltimore. In 1910 she married Mr C Edward Airey and made her home on Henry Street where she reside until her death.

She is also survived by two stepsons, George and Eddie Airey of Cambridge, two sisters Mrs Lyda Brittingham of Harrisburg,PA, Mrs Sadie Collins of Crisfield,MD. Thirty seven grandchildern, fifty seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren

Funeral services from the Pilgrim Holiness Church, Sunday at 2 PM with Rev. E R Clough officiating

Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery.
