Parazada's (various spellings) parents were William Moses Anderson and Nancy Mathews of Scott County, Tennessee. They were listed on her Death Certificate as "Bill Anderson and _____ Mathews." Her father was a Union soldier in Unit G, 12th Kentucky Infantry, during the Civil War. There is a pension application file for him and his widow, Nancy, in the National Archives in Washington, D.C.

Parazada (many spellings) had a brother named Giles or Jiles, and sisters named Artemesa, Rebecca, Sarah A., and Martha E. Anderson.
