Elaine was born on September 16, 1927 in Havelock, NE to Herman and Martha (Nehring) Neitzel. She graduated from Northeast High School in Lincoln, NE in 1945. Elaine was united in marriage to Milton Bek on November 24, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln, NE. Elaine was a homemaker and together with Milton raised four children. She was member of Ladies Aid, Lutheran Women's Missionary League Society and Zone. She also belonged to the Staplehurst Women's Community Club. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery. Elaine passed away on April 3, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln, NE at the age of 82 years 6 months and 18 days, with Milton by her side. She is survived by her husband Milton; two sons and two daughters: Rahn (Peg) Bek, Houston, TX; Warren (Terri Jo) Bek, Curtis, NE; Marie Riley, Richmond, MI; Yvonne (Gene) Lunney, Garland, NE; two brothers, Herman (Dorothy) Neitzel, Jr., Lincoln, NE; Daryl (Norma) Neitzel, Prior Lake, MN: five grandchildren: Darrick Riley, Brian Riley, Gena Brecka, Yvette Mentink, Paige Bek and four great-grandchildren: Jacy Mentink, Brayden Brecka, Koy Mentink, Isaiah Riley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Martha Neitzel; sister, Joan Neitzel; sister and brother-in-law Alice and Ted Glessman; sister-in-law Marcelle Neitzel; nephew Herman Neitzel; son-in-law Craig Riley; grandson Mark Lunney; great-grandson Kameron Riley.
