The 1910 Federal Census for Municipal, Oklahoma (Bryan County) shows Roy Ausley, a printer, age 29, born in Arkansas; living with his father, John Ausley, a farmer, age 56, born in England; and his mother, Anna, age 40, born in Arkansas. Also living in the household were Roy's siblings: Anna Ausley, age 18, born in Arkansas; Blanchard Ausley, age 16, born in Texas; William Ausley, age 14, born in Oklahoma; Loe Ausley, age 9, born in Oklahoma; George Ausley, age 7, born in Oklahoma; Jesse Ausley, age 3, born in Oklahoma; and Richard Ausley, age 2, born in Oklahoma.

The World War I Draft Registration Cards shows that Roy Hamilton Ausley registered for the draft on June 5, 1917. He gave his full name; his age as 26; his birth date as June 11, 1890 in Little Rock, Arkansas; his occupation as a telegraph operator for the railroad; his marital status as married with one child; and he stated that he had a crippled hand and weak eyes.

Roy married Izora Morehead who was born January 23, 1896 in Texas, daughter of Zachariah 'Zack' Morehead (1871-1937) and Victoria King (1869-1912).

The 1930 Federal Census for Eufaula, Oklahoma (McIntosh County) shows Roy H. Ausley, a telegraph operator, age 39, born in Arkansas; and his wife, Zora, a high school teacher, age 33, born in Texas. Living with them was their son, Maurice S. Ausley, age 18, born in Oklahoma.

John died December 21, 1935 in Oklahoma and was buried in the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County). Zora died September 11, 1971 in Oklahoma and was buried in Highland Cemetery beside her husband.
