"Mrs. Madie Tarrant Bardwell, 75, of Bullard, died at 8:40am Friday at her home after an extended illness. The funeral will be at 4:00pm Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Bullard with the Rev. Gary R Curry and the Rev. Murry Robertson officiating. Burial will be at Old Larissa Cemetery under direction of Thompson Funeral Home. Mrs Bardwell lived at Bullard since 1929 and served as organist at the Bullard Methodist Church, where she was a member for 35 years. Survivors include one son, Stocker Bardwell, Bullard; One daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Harley, Missouri City; one sister, Mrs. Nora Carter, Jefferson, GA; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren."
