Uncle Elmer was born in Crowder Springs, Oklahoma to full blood Choctaw parents, David and Mamie Folsom Bacon.

He was brother to Robert Bob Bacon, Pearl Bacon, Phoebe Bacon, Nonie E. Bacon, Solomon Bacon, Bell Bacon, Ruthie Bacon and Frances Bacon.

Elmer married my wonderful Grand Aunt, Zora Belle Hodge in 1912.

Elmer served his country in the US Army as a CPL Quartermaster during WWI.

Uncle Elmer fell on an old fashion coffee can (the kind you had to use a "key" to open which exposed a razor sharp edge around the can) and cut the main artery in his arm which caused him to bleed to death.
