Died at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was a resident of 4927 Osbourne Avenue, Baton Rouge. A native of Baton Rouge, he wad 47 years of age. He was the superintendent of the chlorine plant at Wyandotte Chemical Co., a major in World War II and attended LSU.

Body at Welsh Parlors with visiting hours from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. Saturday. Religious services from Welsh Parlors at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by Rev. G. A. Mathis. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred Braithwaite; his mother, Mrs. Lula S. Braithwaite, Baton Rouge; two sons, Edward F. Braithwaite, Jr. and Norman E. Braithwaite, both of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Mrs. M. A. Dupuy, Mrs. Earl E. Slaton and Miss Juliet Braithwaite, all of Baton Rouge, and one brother, John E. Braithwaite, Baton Rouge.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Head of Island, La. Pallbearers to be Jim Anderson, Roscoe Holland, Homer Sanders, Norman Sanders, Ed Burckhardt and Terry Slaton. Honorary pallbearers: Marion Dupuy, Earl Slaton, Howard Walker, Lawson Lott, Powell Magee, Jesse Inman, Jack Bellows, Webb Kaiser, G.J. Melanson, Charles Mayon, Ed Kirby, Harry Stafford, George Everett and all his co-workers at Wyandotte Chemical Co.
