Mary A. (nee Trione) Knorr, age 76, at rest Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County.

Born in Belleville, IL and a long time Joliet area resident. She was an active member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Crest Hill and a CCD teacher. Her greatest loves in life were her family and gardening.

Preceded in death by her husband, Augustus H. Knorr; parents, John and Gertrude Trione; and her sibilings. Survived by her three sons, Leonard (Nancy) Knorr, Ronald (Brandy) Knorr and Charles (Jutta) Knorr; four daughters, Margaret (William) Stanish, Mary (Thomas) Dunbar, Trudy Knorr and Katelyn Knorr; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Kabbani, the staff of Sunny Hill Nursing Home and Joliet Area Community Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.

Funeral Services for Mary A. Knorr will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 9:15 from the funeral home chapel to St. Ambrose Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. As it was Mary's request, Cremation Rites will be accorded following Mass. Memorials in her name to Friends of Sunny Hill would be appreciated. Private inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Today, Friday 4-8 p.m. at: FRED C.
