Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Lewis Allin at the Methodist church Saturday afternoon for Elmer Allison, 83, who passed away at his home in Princeton on Wednesday afternoon. Death was caused by a cerebrovascular accident.
Pallbearers were Robert Deglman, Dennis Vance, Richard Sausser, Kenneth Sausser, Jack Allison and Neil Allison. Burial was in Oak Knoll cemetery.
James Elmer Allison, son of Charles and Abbie Allison was born in Excelsior, Wis.,Dec 15, 1878. He grew up in that community and married there to Grace Dobs on April 28, 1903.
Mr and Mrs Allison moved to a farm in Greenbush in 1913, and he served as a member of the Glendorado creamery board for over 20 years. They retired from the farm in 1944 and since lived in Princeton.
Surviving are his wife, one son, Emory of Grand Rapids, two daughters, Goldie (Claude) Sausser and Dorothy (Thomas)Vance, both of Princeton. 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. One son and one daughter preceded him in death.
