He was listed on some muster rolls as Howder. Illinois Civil War database lists as Henry K. Honder.
Honder is not correct. Howder was not used by this family but was used by cousins, including the second husband of Henry K.'s widow, who was named Henry G. Howder and was a first cousin of Henry K.
Henry K. had two brothers, Martin and Daniel, who also died in the Civil War.
