Hiller: Daniel Baker enlisted in June 1776; served under Captains: John Scudder, Britton, Jacob Crane, Moses Jaquish, Jeremiah Dunn, Samuel Meeker and Joseph Lamb; Colonels: Thomas, Symmes, Potter and Oliver Spencer in the NJ Troops (Pages 41-42);
4 Mar. 1846, Butler Co., OH, affidavit by Hannah Baker, widow of Daniel Baker; they were married on 1 Dec. 1779, by pastor of Presbyterian Congregation of Springfield; subsequent to marriage she prepared cloathing (sic) for him to go into service.
