HARDIN CO. INDEPENDENT - 02JAN1936 - AGED LAMBTOWN WOMAN DIES
Mrs. Lou Crow, wife of Albert F. Crow, passed away at her home near Lambtown, at eleven o'clock Friday evening, 20Dec. Mrs. Crow, who was 76 years of age, had not been well for about 6 weeks, a dropsical condition having developed. Until that time she had been able to care for her husband who is blind & also very feeble.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husbadn, a sister, Mrs. Mary Matson, of Shelbyville, IL; 1 daughter, Mrs. Viola Millikan, of near Lambtown, 5 sons, Thomas, of Cave-In-Rock, Willis, of Mt. Zion neighborhood, Howard, of Caseyville, KY; Charles, of near Lambtown & Russell of Junction, IL; 34 grandchildren & 22 great-grandchildren.
The funeral services which were held Sunday at 1:00 o'clock at the home of her son, Charles Crow, were conducted by Rev. James Vinyard, of Harrisburg. Interment was made at the Hobbs cemetary in the neighborhood of the family home. Music was furnished by friends from Cave-In-Rock & vicinity. The flower girls were granddaughters of the deceased & the pall bearers were her grandsons. The sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved family, especially to the aged husband, who has lost his companion of 60 years. Mr. Crow, who will make his home with his children in the future, is now with his son, Charles.
