Dee was born in 1945 to Cecil and Pauline Wester in Tulsa, Okla.; her family moved to Fort Worth when she was a child. Dee was a manager for the U.S. Postal Service until she retired in 2005 to become a full-time grandmother. A few years later, she moved from Fort Worth to Van Alstyne with her daughter and family, and there she found home - a wonderful group of friends, a devoted companion, and a beloved church family!
Dee's passion for the past 10 years was caring for her grandsons, Tucker and Zach; she also enjoyed making beautiful quilts. She was known for her outgoing personality, energetic style, and a smile that could light up a room.
Dee was preceded in death by her son, Chad Blevins (1993), and her parents.
Survivors: Dee leaves her beloved companion, Richard Loftice; daughter, Denise Blevins Scott and husband, Mike; son, Patrick Blevins; granddaughter, Amanda Tarvin; and grandsons, Tucker and Zach Scott. She also leaves her brother, Cecil Wester Jr. of Granbury; a niece and nephew; and friends whom she considered family.
