Allie Mae Johnson
Allie Mae Johnson, 93, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at Morgan Hospital and Medical Center in Martinsville. She was a resident of Martinsville.
Survivors include a son, Walter Sturgeon of Martinsville; three daughters, Pheriba Hand and Covella Fleetwood-Victor, both of Whiteland, and Kathleen Geralds of Martinsville; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph William and Nancy Elizabeth (Tarry) McGuire; her first husband, Leon Hardin Sturgeon; her second husband, James Condie Johnson; a son, James Edward Sturgeon; and nine siblings.
Hollis Johnson will conduct a celebration of life graveside service at 4 p.m. Sunday at Hiseville Cemetery in Hiseville, Ky. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday at Neal and Summers Mortuary, 110 E. Poston Road, Martinsville.
