David Solomon GREENLAND, 89, of Springfield, died Wednesday, April 27, 1994 at 8:25 a.m. in Community Hospital. He was born on August 8, 1904 in Horodetz, Russia, the son of Gabriel and Anna Greenland. He was a resident of Springfield for 54 years and the founder of Aetna Building Maintenance Company. He was a member of the Temple Sholom and a founding member of Bethel Synagogue. He is survived by his wife, Cecile S. (SONNE) GREENLAND, whom he married on August 6, 1978; a son, Julian (Roberta) GREENLAND of Springfield; a daughter, Natalie (Bob) BARRAR of Dayton; one brother, Max GREENLAND of Silver Springs, Maryland; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Estella; and one brother, Isador. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Jackson Lytle & Ingling Williams Funeral Home, North Limestone Chapel with Rabbi Lloyd Goldman officiating. Interment will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. The family suggest contributions be made to Temple Sholom.
