Kenneth Lee Estabrook died June 11, 2014 in Manhattan Beach, CA, aged 53. Ken was born Nov. 3, 1960 in Oklahoma City, OK. He grew up in Great Falls, MT where he learned to ski. When age 16, he soloed a plane. He also lived with parents in Tehran, Iran and Muscat, Oman. He graduated from H.S. at the American School in Athens, Greece and from UMass in 1983 (BS Electrical Engineering). Ken worked for Hughs Aircraft Corp. then Raytheon. He learned to SCUBA dive and enjoyed camping, fishing and hiking. He loved reading, especially science fiction. He is survived by parents Bion R. Estabrook and Beatrice M. (Scott) Estabrook, and sister Barbara A. Estabrook, all of Derry, NH; brother Edward Estabrook and nephew Brien Estabrook-Gray of Pine, CO; brother Boyd Estabrook and wife Karen of Hampstead, NH; nieces Katherine Estabrook Scott and Lauren Estabrook; aunt and uncle Edward and Gladys Brennan of Saucier, MS; and many cousins. Burial will be in the Forrest Hill Cemetery, Derry, NH. Donations in his memory can be made to the SPCA or to a local animal shelter.
