Branden S. Bare, age 20, of Elk Park, passed away on Tuesday, August 30th, 2011 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Odessa, TX. A native of Avery County, he was a son of Teresa Anderson of Odessa, TX and Freddie Bare of Elk Park. Brandon was a 2010 Avery High School graduate and attended Cranberry Baptist Church. He was a sports fan and loved hanging out with his friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Perry Lee Anderson, great grandparents: Dessie Duke, Aliceteen Richards, Perry Leon Anderson, Billy Duke, Fred Guy and Stuart Bare.
Surviving is his mother, Teresa Anderson of Odessa, TX; father and step-mother, Freddie Bare and Beth Hodges, of Elk Park; two sisters: Bethany Bare and fiancé', Austin Burr, of Newland and Cadie Bare of Elk Park; two brothers: Riley Bare of Elk Park and Ben Turbyfill of Newland; two nephews: Evan and Noah Burr of Newland; maternal grandmother, Debbie Duke of Elizabethton, TN; maternal great-grandmother, Joey Anderson of Odessa, TX; paternal grandmother, Katie Pyatte and husband, Lester, of Jonas Ridge; paternal grandfather, Bill Bare of Johnson City, TN; paternal great-grandmother, Edilee Guy of Newland; girlfriend, Morgan Rogers of Odessa, TX and special friend, Holly Barker of Elk Park. Several uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6th at Elk Park Christian Church. Nick Daniels will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the services. Burial will follow the services in the Elk Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Codie Garrison, Matthew Oliver, Tommy Shea, Chris Childress and Steven Daniels. Honorary pallbearers will be: Freddie Bare, Ben Turbyfill, Riley Bare, John Ellis and Jake Potter.
