Lorraine Gene Caplin was the biological daughter of Ruby Emaline Cory and Guy Andrews. She was adopted by Ruby's second husband Edward T. Caplin at Gene's request. She was eighteen years old at the time. Gene was the Sister of Dale Edward and Larry Caplin. In later years Gene became the Family Genealogist, finding and documenting hundreds of names, and her work is being continued on to this day. Gene passed away at St. Mary's Hospitial in Tucson, Arizona of complications of Lung Cancer. She was cremated, but has a bronze marker in the scattering garden.
