MARKS, Richard J. "Rich" age 78, passed away June 17, 2012 at the Widows Home of Dayton.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Lauretta Marks; son-in-law, Terry Meuret; and sister-in-law, Shirley Martz.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sylvia Marks (Praeg); children, Robert (Geri) Marks, Kathleen Meuret, Jeffrey Marks, David Marks, Laura (Jeffrey) Trego, and Steven (Robin) Marks; grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah, Joshua, Jason, Michael, Megan, Paige, Colton, Kayla, Katrice, and Seth; 6 great-grandchildren; aunt, Margaret Heberle; life long friends, Elmer Bruns, Kenny, George, and Chief; and 3 nieces, Sharon, Amy, and Denise.

Rich was a life long member of the North Dayton Anglers & Gun Club, League of Ohio Sportsmen, and Our Lady of The Rosary. He was formally recognized for his outstanding contributions to youth conservation, sportsmanship, and most notably The North Dayton Junior Anglers. Rich "Gotcha" will be greatly missed by all the "Front Stuffers" at yearly deer camp as well as by numerous friends at the NDA and the LOOS.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – North, 4104 Needmore Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of The Rosary, 22 Notre Dame Ave. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be to either the Alzheimers Association or to North Dayton Anglers lake Improvement Fund.
