BOLTON- Johnny "Gumpy" Bolton, age 57 of Lawrenceville, died Saturday, July 29, 2006. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday July 31, 2006 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Soop will officiate. Retired from shipping and receiving at General Motors Plant in Doraville with 30years of service. He was a member of the Lawrenceville Masonic Lodge # 131 F & AM, he worked at Lawrenceville Auto Parts and operated the family business of Bolton Grocery on New Hope Road in Lawrenceville for a number of years. He is survived by: Wife: Janice Bolton, Statham; Children: Dinah and Lamar Samples, Winder; Carly Bolton, Statham; Brothers: Gene Bolton, Denver, Colorado; Sisters: Cora and Dave Carter, Tucker; Grandchildren: Jaelyn Baker - Bolton, Caleb Samples, Brody Samples; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
