Trudy was born in Kansas City, Kansas where she was raised by her wonderful Grandmother Dorothy. In 1972 came to Whittier, California where she touched the hearts of many.

We met that year in 8th grade at East Whittier Jr. High in art class. We decided that we would be cousins forever and we would make up a story about how we were related. We had lot's of fun even though we were both jealous of each others friends and said we weren't, but we really were. Somehow we got past that and stayed best friends until she passed away.

We went through thick and thin and had many trials and errors but always came out on top as Best Friends.

Trudy always went out of her way to make me comfortable at her home and put me above everybody else and one day I realized how much she did for me and from that day on, nearly each day that I saw her, I would give her a friendship card or a thank you card along with some pretty flowers.

When she would go into the hospital for weeks at a time, i would come from Hacienda Heights to Fountain Valley as often as I could and bring her flowers to make her smile and sit by her while she slept.

We had a falling out a month prior to her last visit to the hospital and when her boyfriend told me that she was in the final stages of heart failure, I took off from work and picked up some flowers and scratchers and some perfume and a collage I had made for her of her & I and spent that day with her, we made up, I was so thankful that we did.

We talked each day until that sunday when they said she was in ICU and I came out to see her but she was heavily drugged but I think she knew I was there, but I don't know for sure. She was in ICU for almost 3 weeks and then she passed away. She had her best friends there with her throughout that time and two of them stayed with her til she took her last breath. I couldn't stay with her and go through that last breath with her.

I hope she knows that I Love her with all my heart, She gave me the nickname in 8th grade of "Willie" so we became "Willie & Toots" forever. I Love You.

Our Song - Photograph

Ev'ry time i see your face,
It reminds me of the places we used to go.
But all i got is a photograph
And i realize you're not coming back anymore.

I thought i'd make it the day you went away,
But i can't make it, Till you come home again
to stay-yi-yay-yi-yay.

I can't get used to living here,
While my heart is broke, my tears i cried for you.
I want you here to have and hold,
As the years go by and we grow old and grey.

Now you're expecting me to live without you,
But that's not something that i'm looking forward to.

I can't get used to living here,
While my heart is broke, my tears i cried for you.
I want you here to have and hold,
As the years go by and we grow old and grey.

Ev'ry time i see your face,
It reminds me of the places we used to go.
But all i got is a photograph
And i realise you're not coming back anymore.

Ev'ry time i see your face,
It reminds me of the places we used to go.
But all i got is a photograph
And i realise you're not coming back anymore.

Ev'ry time i see your face,
It reminds me of the places we used to go.
But all i got is a photograph
And i realise you're not coming back anymore.
