DONALD WRIGHT: 91, died Tuesday[1-17]. He was born 7 Nov 1914 in Riceville IA, a son of Gus & Nellie (Sisley) Wright. He wed Eileen McDonald on 29 March 1940 in Nashua IA. They moved to the area September 1978 from Waterloo IA. He served in the US Army during WWII. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Charter member of the WWII Memorial, The Questers Woodchucks, The Odd Fellows since 1945. His hobbies were fishing in Canada, hunting & collecting antiques. He was a big baseball fan; played all over Europe during WWII & was scouted by The Cincinnati Red Socks. He was preceded in death by his parents & a sis: Marcella Bottomley.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen-of the home; a brother-in-law; Robert Bottomley, a sister-in-law Bethel Lowe; 3 nieces: Karen Eileen Harter, Kathryn Jean Duke, Karla Lowe-Phelps; 2 nephews: James Allen Bottomley, Thomas Craig Bottomley; & 15 gr-grandnieces--nephews.
Private visitation will be held Friday [1-20] at the First United Methodist Church Parlor. Graveside service will be Saturday morning [1-21] at the Rogers City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church-Rogers AR & the Circle of Life Hospice-Springdale AR. Arrange-ments under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home.
