She married Edd Brown, March 1, 1865 in Rochester, Olmsted County, Minnesota, according to family information. This has not been confirmed.

She was the Mother of Emelie Carolina Brown Evenson, Andrew, Bertina Brown Dutcher, Margarette Brown Arhart Scott, Berlin, Constance Brown Huffman, Ansker and Molly O. Brown Howard.

When trying to find her on the Federal US Census' she is almost always called Mary Ann.
