According to Fred's United States World War I Draft Registration Card on September 12, 1918, he was a white, married farmer, age 36, medium height, slender build, with blue eyes and black hair. No disabilities. Both of his parents immigrated from Germany.

Martha Geikowfsky married Frederick "Fred" Lukofsky in Taylor, Wayne County, Michigan on November 23, 1909 per Michigan, Marriages, 1868-1925, Film #2342688, Digital Folder 4209131, Image #97, Volume 5, Page 338, Line 68325.

Together, Fred and Martha had at least 6 children: Henry C., Edna P., Lilly F., Esther M., Viola and Alvina L. Lukofsky. Theses names can be located in the 1920, 1930, and 1940 United States Census Reports. The family resided on a general farm, owned by Fred, on Telegraph Road in Taylor, Michigan for many years.

NOTE: Baby Viola was born May 6, 1918 and passed away April 17, 1920 at 1 year, 11 months, 20 days, per her death certificate. Viola's name appears in the 1920 U.S. Census and she was 1 year and 3 months old. In the 1930 U.S. Census, Viola is not listed since she passed away but another baby girl was born named Alvina L. Lukofsky, age 9.
